I have the phone but my problem is to change the touch pad and the battery
I bought the Iland Genesys 3 4g for 36,000 IN June and once I connected it to the internet, I started getting pop up ads. The ads became intrusive, forced itself on my browsers and other applications and even began installing unsolicited apps on my phone. I did a soft reset and a hard resent, and the virus did not go. So I went online to find the root of the problem and found that the phone came with malwares from the manufacturer. I finally took my office leave in September and went to the iland mobile store in Ikeja where I was told that there was nothing that could be done about the malware as it came with the phone. After insisting that they change the O.S they decided to humour me, and did whatever to make the malwares disappear , then a week later the malwares reappeared with the pop up ads and the intrusive installations.
The malwares that came with the phone are Android innovation and Support.
And if you check the system app you’ll see the com.android.snap malware too which is actually com.gyaun.android.
I also went online to check for the actual makers of this phone and I am 99.9% sure it is not made by Nigerians. But a western country that sees third world nations as a dumping ground for rejected brands.
Sure the phone is heavy and strong, but if you do not want to have your life annoyed by this malware, you might want to get a phone from a known brand with a good reputation.
Thanks for the feedback Pamela, I’ll be hearing this for the first time from you. I’ll look into it to confirm your report.
Thanks!
Can the phone also screen shot am texting from it just got it yesterday..
I guess it should. Try holding the volume down button and power button together and release the button at once.
Does this phone have a separate slot for memory card? Can it take 2 sim cards and a memory card at the same time? Or will you drop a sim card if you want to use memory card and use just one sim and a memory card?
It’s a pleasure to have you around Ezeana.
The smartphone is dual SIM (1 micro and 1 nano) enabled and has a separate slot for external memory card – up to 128GB.
Thanks my brother. Another thing, do you know if it comes with pouch and screen protector?
I have no idea about that. But you can surely buy the accessories if it doesn’t come with the package.
