MultiVersus presently has six dedicated servers for North America and Europe. Currently, Asia has no dedicated server because of limited resources.

The “This item is currently unavailable in your region” error is common to Steam users living in an unsupported region. The full error details read:
“This item is currently unavailable in your region. An error was encountered when processing your request”.
The error message is usually for users trying to access a game that has not been released in your country. If a game is unavailable in a region, then a user trying to access it from a country in that region will get the error.
Since the game is unavailable in Asia, users from countries like Malaysia, India and the Philippines will get the exact error. Interestingly, you can bypass the restriction and play the game in your region.

Why can’t I Play MultiVersus in Asia?
You cannot play MultiVersus game in Asia due to restrictions. If you try to, you will get the “This item is currently unavailable in your region” on Steam.
This means that the game is not open to users from your country and also includes users from other countries within that continent.
Affected users cannot view, download or play the game on Steam.
Note that some games on Steam are region-dependent, meaning you can only play them if you live in a supported region. One example of such a game is MultiVersus, which can be played in the United States but is unavailable in Asia.
Hence, if you live in a country on the Asia continent, you can’t view, download or play the game on Steam. To know if a game is supported in your region, kindly refer to the game’s website.
How to Play MultiVersus in Asia
To play MultiVersus in Asia, you can connect to a VPN or wait until it is rolled out to your region.
When you connect to a VPN, you can easily switch to a country where the game is supported to fix the error. You can download the game and play it from your Steam library even if it is not open to your region.
Here are the steps to fix “This item is currently unavailable in your region” on Steam below.
1. Connect to a VPN.
If you have a VPN service, you can connect it by choosing a supported country. You do not need a premium VPN service to do this.
Go to the Google Play Store or the iOS App Store to find some free VPN apps to use.
2. Go to SteamPowered Store
Visit the SteamPowered Store and search for the game you want to download. You can either select “Play Game”, or you buy it.
While connected to a VPN, you can view the game and download it.
However, you need the browser version of Steam to do that since a VPN will not work with the Steam desktop app.
3. Select the “Yes, Steam is installed” option
After downloading the game, select the “Play Game” option to see a pop-up containing two options, including “Yes, Steam is installed” and “No, I need Steam”.
Choose the “Yes, Steam is installed” option and sign in to your account.
4. You can now play the game
When you choose “Yes, Steam is installed”, you will see a pop-up requesting to install the game after the on-screen instructions. After successful installation, you can locate the game in your Steam library.
Once you install the game, you can play it without a VPN. However, some game has only US servers. To play, you need to connect to the US via a VPN.
Will MultiVersus be available in Asia?
According to Tony Huynh, the MultiVersus game director, everyone will play the game. However, Asia is currently not supported by MultiVersus because of limited resources.
There are presently six dedicated servers for North America and Europe. At the moment, Asia has no dedicated server because of limited resources.
If you live in Asia and purchased the game, please, ensure you request a refund or play with a VPN.
