To make custom death sound in Roblox, follow the steps below.

1. Download a sound

To begin with, you need to download a sound for Roblox. It can be the Oof or any other sound that you like.

We have provided the download link to the “Oof” sound if you choose it as the death sound again. Download it to your device’s storage.

The file is in ZIP format and needs to be extracted. Extract the sound from the archive format and proceed to the next step.

2. Launch the run command

Using the search bar on your PC, search for “Run” and select it. Alternatively, you can press the “Windows key + R” to open the Run command automatically.

3. Go to App Data

On the command prompt, enter “appdata” and click “Ok “. Next, select the “local” folder, then “Roblox”.

Choose “versions” and select the version*** folder. Further, choose the Content folder “Sounds” folder. Now, replace the sound with the one from the archive you downloaded.

However, ensure you replace the new sound with the name of the one you are replacing. Otherwise, Roblox won’t recognize your sound.

4. Play as a sound test

To confirm that the new sound is working, you must test it. Open Roblox and go to Settings, then Volume. You can then hear the sound.

Why Did Roblox Change the Oof Sound?

The Oof sound in Roblox was removed because of an issue with the license. The Roblox old death sound audio was changed to a new sound in the Creator Marketplace on July 29, 2022.
