The Snapchat+ badge is hidden by default. This means that when you subscribe to the premium service, you have to enable the option to have a black badge attached to your profile name.
Meanwhile, the Snapchat Plus subscription comes at $3.99 per month. However, all users are entitled to a 7-day free trial to test the features.
You will be billed once the trial period ends. Although, you can cancel your free subscription before the period ends. By doing this, you won’t be billed for the service.
Also, note that the Snapchat+ premium service was only launched in nine countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Saudi Arabia. If you are a Snapchat user living in a different country from the list, you won’t be able to use the service until it is rolled out for you.

A black star badge “✪” represents the Snapchat Plus badge. It is added to a profile name of a Snapchat user to indicate that they are on Snapchat+ premium service.
While the badge will beautify your display name, it will also earn you a bragging right among other Snapchat users. Anyone checking your profile will see the badge next to your name.
The black badge informs other users that you are a Snapchat+ subscriber.
How to Get the Snapchat Plus badge on iPhone
- Launch the Snapchat app and visit your profile. Select the “Snapchat+ membership” card and subscribe to the service.
- Go back to your profile and select the “Snapchat+ membership banner” card again. Locate the “Snapchat+ Badge” and enable it.
How to Get the Snapchat Plus badge on Android
Please note that you have to subscribe to Snapchat+ before you proceed.
- To start with, visit the Google Play Store and update your Snapchat mobile app.
- Now, launch the Snapchat app and visit your profile.
- Select the “Snapchat+ membership” card and subscribe to Snapchat+.
- Head back to your profile and enable the Snapchat+ Badge from the “Snapchat+ membership” card.
Remember that you must enable the badge after subscribing to Snapchat+ before seeing it on your profile.
